The best of Peruvian street food, now in Switzerland.

Peruvian cuisine has earned its place among the world’s best restaurants. We’re bringing it back to the street, with the same quality ingredients and the same bold flavor. Because Peruvian food shouldn’t be saved for special occasions: it’s for everyone, any day of the week.

Our story

Peru, where food and flavor come first.

I’m Alvaro, a Swiss-Peruvian who has called Zurich home for a few years now. Apu started as a simple dream: eating the sandwiches I grew up with in Peru, right here in Switzerland.

So I started making them myself. The best Swiss ingredients meet Andean chilies and spices: slow-cooked meats, bright sauces, crunch and softness in every bite. Grab one, find a spot and dig in. Messy hands are part of the deal. With family, with friends, or just by yourself.

My biggest dream is to share Peruvian street food with the country that gave me good times, good friends and a new home. Here, Peruvian food is mostly found in fancy restaurants. In Peru, some of the best food is sold on the street: quick, affordable and full of flavor. Apu brings it back to the street, where it belongs.

Peruvian food is also the story of many kitchens meeting. Chinese, Japanese, Italian, African and Argentinian cooks all left their mark, and the mix of all these flavors became the base of Peruvian cuisine. You’ll taste a bit of it in every sandwich.
